It wouldn't be a balloon theme without some actual balloons now would it! These little tiddlers loved them- a few did get popped but scared me more than them I think!
Just Chillin!
Jelly is always a popular choice and it uses all the 5 senses so perfect for our messy play sessions - Jack thinks it tastes good!
It looks and smells good and it makes a plop noise when you drop it back into the dish after making jelly moulds!
It sure seems to feel good - no wonder the tiddlers want to swim in it!
Next time I will follow a tip I learnt recently and make smaller moulds and hide things in them for the little ones to squish about and find!
TIP: Found a good idea on Pinerest - why not take it a step further at home and incorporate numbers, letters or animals shapes into the moulds to encourage numeracy & literacy skills and a few animal sounds thrown in for good measure!
We had fun with rice too!
Throw in a few handy tools so they can scoop it up and pour it out - perfect to help build that hand/eye coordination or like Tom here make patterns with your feet!
We made our own balloons on the craft table, lots of painting, a little bit of glue and some string to attach to the basket.....
Voila!
Messy Play isn't the same without a little bit of water now is it!
Sometimes a simple bucket of bubbly water is all you need!
Or you could add tools
to make it more fun and outdoors!
And practicing those brush strokes!
And this week was special as it was the end of my first ever term so we had our little certificates to give out! Well done for being such good messy toddlers & baby's
Well we can't take it that seriously can we!
Perfect for all the family!
Next weeks theme is all about the 'Summer'
